Attached please find a jpg of my new Weller ML500MP butane soldering iron. Above the top edge in this jpg you can see the edge of the convenient thumb activated piezoelectric igniter. On the near side you can see the black flame heat adjustment slide, with the OFF position as shown in the jpg, and NO detent or catch to prevent the slide to moving to the on position and filling your tool box with butane. Yikes! The solution is simple: apply a small piece of electrical tape touching both the slide and the slit in which it slides.
