I think I could manage that if I’m on campus.   I don’t think it would be much use from Hallsville, otherwise.

Hey Jane,

If you have the time free for Nov 6 in the morning, I sure hope you could join in the exercise. We are planning to include a portion of the exercise on the MU campus with all HTs, so you have the equipment to fully participate. The SET is called a "no-fault" exercise, so you won't be under any pressure, just learn more about your radio and how to pass some messages to another station.

But if you do just want to listen to a directed emergency type net, tune to 146.610 MHz. (but don't interrupt :).

I’m in the same boat.   I’m not a club member, but wanting to join.   I’m not as comfortable jumping in yet as I have a hand held, although I can attach it to 2M antenna if I can hang it somewhere high enough…  I think I’d rather listen in and learn on this one.   Just need to carve out time to put up a real antenna.  /*facepalm*/
