Thanks Bill for info.  Currently I am checking out my 40 and 20 hamsticks as possible WFD antennas.  I can put them on my car roof or on a mast system I have, depending on weather and space.  I will test my endfed random wire antenna at home before taking it out in field. 

For regular FD in 2021, I put a hamstick at top of portable mast and brought down from the feedpoint a 32 ft. sloping counterpoise (e.g., other leg of the dipole).  Operating position was in garage and on battery power, I had no trouble getting out on 40 and 20 with 5 watts.  I seem to recall that year we combined scores as a club, so QRP did not count extra points, but CW did.

Sure hope I can make it on 28th for some operating time with my own setup.  If this cold hangs on, I might reduce my effort to just showing up to see how things are going and congratulating the hardy souls like yourself taking on WFD.

Good to have you. I think we will all use our own call signs. Bring your antennas and power if you have them. Since we will each have our own logs then you can even do paper if you want. I guess haven’t used my laptop in the cold so we will see about the operation. I will have my Heber for AC if you need it.
