Inside http://n0gsg.com/contact-manager/ towards the bottom you will find:

The program supports the AnyTone AT-D868UV. IMPORTANT: For use with AnyTone CPS 1.26 and later, use the CPS Tool->Export Data Conversion File command to produce a DCF file readable by Contact Manager.

If I remember correctly this is the trick.

Hello,

After serious consideration, the National MS Society and Bike MS organizers have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2018 Bike MS: Gateway Getaway ride due to the inclement weather along the route and surrounding areas. With the forecast of solid rainfall throughout the weekend including flash flooding with a large portion of the route in low-water crossing areas, we have concerns about being able to provide a safe event for cyclists, volunteers and staff.

We know our cyclists have put in a lot of training and fundraising efforts, but the safety of our riders and being able to have a well-supported event is our top priority. We share in your disappointment of not being able to join together this weekend, and we appreciate your support and understanding.

The weather, like MS, can be unpredictable, but we won’t let it stop us from reaching the ultimate finish line of creating a world free of MS together!

Please make sure to share and get the word out to any of your volunteer teams that the ride has been canceled. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you,

Sarah Christmann

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to update everyone and let you know that we are still making progress on the DMR connectivity.  Since the last trip up to install the cabling to our cabinet and the associated grounding work, I have been in contact with the internet provider.  We're scheduled to chat again this coming Friday and finalize plans on when their tech and I can meet and get the connections completed.  Hopefully, this can take place as soon as next week, but no guarantees on that.

I know everyone is anxious to get the connection to the repeater so we can start taking advantage of the DMR talk groups, and it's coming.  Thanks for your patience as we work through all the hurdles to make this happen!

Hello All,

Thanks to the gift of a Cisco SPA525G2 IP phone and being informed about “HamShack Hotline", I am now at extension 4407 ( https://hamshackhotline.com/ ).

HamShack Hotline is relatively new, free, VoIP service focused on Amateur Radio. HH only supports the use of specific Cisco IP phones at this time, which can be found on eBay and other venues new and used.

Should you already be on HH or decide to move in that direction and really want to speak with me via voice for any needed support with issues or other topics regarding any of the tools that I provide or about tools that I am developing, you can now call me via this method during normal east coast business day hours of 8am to 5pm.

I will answer in real time if I am not busy or I will return your call when I can during my waking hours unless you specify a cutoff time to call back, which will push a return call to the next day or two.

There are already a decent number of MARS members on Hamshack Hotline I have learned. I have no idea if the numbers will skyrocket or not. However should I need to put more restrictions on the justification for calling me via HH down the road I will.

Then too I may setup a bridge on HH for the discussion of my tools by anyone at anytime that I can monitor or just drop in on as I desire as well as schedule training sessions when new things develop.

I see a lot potential in my use of HH due to the tools it and the Cisco phone provides for managing incoming and missed calls to include an e-mail of missed calls with voice messages attached.

First, welcome aboard….

I have noticed a LOT of new users. I wanted to remind everyone of usage guidelines on the BYRG DMR network. This does NOT apply to users on non-WB0YRG repeaters. Those sysops can inform you on how they want their systems operated.

Reflector usage does nothing. We do not use reflectors, and for those not familiar those are the 4xxx numbers.

I encourage EVERYONE to follow the guidelines we have established at:

Also, some have heard we have still had fantastic growth. It surprises me at times.
I will be compiling an up to date list of systems, as we have a a few new ones come online especially in Missouri. I will email that in the next day or two to Larry's List.

Once again, welcome aboard and enjoy....

Items for sale

Don - KM0R

I was contacted this evening by Mel Winter, KB0WOU.  He lives here in Columbia and has a couple of items he wants to sell for a very reasonable cost.

He has available a Hammarlund HQ-150 receiver.  He says it developed a hum and he suspects it needs a capacitor replaced in its power supply.

The 2nd item for sale is a Johnson Pacemaker transmitter.  The transmitter has not been powered on for a number of years but was in working order.

The best time to contact Mel is in the evenings but he said you could try mid-day as well.  His number is 474-4107.

73,
Don - KM0R

p.s. I've invited Mel to the Wednesday lunch and of course the club meeting as well :)

Re: Club meeting NT antenna scans

Thanks to Fred’s help testing these antennas many of mine were found to be  expensive HT bling :) The Sainsonic dual band antenna for e.g., was not resonate on anything near a ham band-probably defective in some respect. But my “tiger tail” will help some of the others I have. I’m sold on it.
