Re: Elmer Special
Does this mean that you'd be willing to be the Elmer who submits your "new" ham for a chance at this prize deal?
I would be willing to be that "new" ham, if I had an Elmer.

Best Regards,
Gary D

Re: DMR APRS
Chris,
Thanks for the info. Still pretty new with DMR.
Got the Any Tone 878 working with analog APRS.
I’m using an HT for position reporting and accessing local repeaters when I operate portable.

What are the preferred settings to use for APRS on the K0SI DMR repeater?
If it helps, I am working with an Any Tone 878.

Re: ISS SSTV on the air
Not entirely sure Bill. I will see if I can find out. I’m guessing they are “off” shift at that time and won’t be operating.

Re: ISS SSTV on the air
John,
The link shows times that are confusing... What does the "Off" there mean?
Dec 4: On - 12:00 UTC, Off - 16:50 UTC
Dec 5: On - 11:25 UTC, Off - 17:15 UTC
Dec 6: On - 10:20 UTC, Off - 16:40 UTC

ISS SSTV on the air
I just got this notification now from a friend. Sorry for the delay. Hopefully some of us will get some images. My tracking app says there are a couple of passes over Columbia in the next 48 hours.

First Ham Nation tower safety episode
Hi
See: https://twit.tv/shows/ham-nation/episodes/431?autostart=false
This first tower safety episode frames the issue, statistically comparing it to commercial cell tower safety and skydiving

Re: NanoVNA
This presentation was posted in the Facebook group for the NanoVNA. It does a great job of explaining the abilities and limitations on using the device evaluating common mode chokes as well.
