Fred,
I hope you checked into K0SI on 40M and 80M and got through fine??
I can't get NS0A to answer my connect request at all. So you are doing better than me there.
Haven't seen that error message either.

I hosted for a while on VHF.  You have a special password to get in.  I had it off for a long period of time and get a similar message when my system trys to log in.  Ah a good project for this down time would be to get it back up.

Cheers.

Dear BCARES Members:

As most of you have heard Coronavirus has been in the news a lot and has affected many parts of our life. The CDC has advised everyone to avoid social interactions and to take precautions to protect yourself and your families. The following changes will take affect Wednesday March 18, 2020.

First, our club meetings will be suspended for the month of April. We will watch the situation and evaluate what we should do for May’s meeting. We will be having an on-air meeting in April. This will take place on the WXØBC 146.610 Repeater at 18:30.

Second, any planned activities involving us gathering in public or social settings will be rescheduled for a future date.

Third, any activities done on the air or not involving groups will not be affected. This is a great time to get on the air and make use of our repeaters.

I am looking forward to resuming our meetings and activities as soon as it is safe for our members. If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out to me or any of the club officers. The clubs bcares.groups.io is the best place to reach out. Also, our Facebook page is available for communications online.

I believe that if you choose to meet then that is your choice, yes it is less than 50 people, but due to the serious nature of the pandemic - I am making an official statement that the CMRA is not going to support the event.  We should take this event seriously, at this time we are fortunate to not have anyone we know impacted by this situation, I would like to keep it that way.  The purpose of considering this is to prevent the spread of disease and taking the responsible stance of supporting the recommendations of the CDC and not meeting if it is not necessary.

Probably less than 50 people.
Probably no out of towners from far away.
It is out doors
And it is spread out.   So if you have to sneeze you can cover and just turn in a safe direction.
And I want to take more pictures of everybody's ideas.

Bill,

Due to the COVID-19 virus and the CDC recommendation of cancelling events with more than 50 present, we made the decision this morning to cancel the Boonville, MO hamfest scheduled for 3/21/2020.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at our hamfest next year.

Tom,

I see in the hamfest website to send you my telephone number if I want a table. I would like a table to sell a few things.

Are the tables inside?

Thanks,

Ralph, Japanese tabemono (food) is tempting, but I am hunkering down and resting after teaching the Tech class.  7 new Techs last nite, 1 student postponed test because he's the main person responsible for a multi-generation family at home and is virus-worried.

Take care, my friend.

Hello all,

I just checked with the Hyvee on Conley Road. The cafeteria area is shutting down after tonight. The testing session tonight at 7:00 is good to go, but the Wednesday lunches are now on hiatus. You can get food from the deli and take it out but not eat in the cafeteria area.

I have to go into Columbia tommorrow anyway.
I will have lunch at High Vee anyway.
Will I dine alone?
Just wondering.  I guess the average attendees are 5 to 6.
