Winlink 2000 is a voluntary world-wide digital messaging system providing through Amateur radio, and various government contingency communications services, enabling communications where Internet e-mail and other messaging services are not normally available, or appropriate for use.  

Winlink 2000 provides a variety of solutions for the Amateur radio operator including VHF/UHF Packet, HF Pactor and Winmor, which come in different bandwidths, reliabilities, and speeds. Winlink 2000 is used a link to family, friends and weather information for the remote Amateur radio operator. In addition,

Winlink 2000 has proven itself as an effective emergency communications options for various non-commercial and government organizations, as well as Amateur radio operators, when normal emergency communications infrastructure is not otherwise available.
