Field Day

Group,
Here is a summary of what we have discussed on the Wednesday nets, and the last on-the-air CMRA meeting concerning Field Day 2020.

The club will be "doing" field day 2020, within the prescribed COVID-19 restrictions in force at that time.
Whereas individual operators are encouraged (2020) to operate from home, if that is their preference, we will have a club presence at Rock Bridge State Park in our normal location, organized around the KOMU-TV field truck (provided by K0PHP), and two transmitters.

WE WILL BE OBSERVING SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES: SPACING of ONE WAVELENGTH AT 144 mhZ, AND APPROPRIATE MASKS AND HAND SANITIZERS.

Operators not at RB (should use their own call signs for FD) who want to, may enter the club name in the reporting of your activities, which will produce a club aggregate score to show up in the Dec QST, just for fun. We all have to spell the club name exactly the same, and on the ARRL page of clubs it is: Central Missouri Radio Assn.

KC0HSB advises that this link, from this week's ARRL e-Newsletter tells us all about Field Day 2020:

If all who do Field Day 2020 could take a picture of your FD setup/activity and email that to me, I will create a Powerpoint presentation of our FD 2020 activity in its uniqueness (I hope we aren't still here in June 2021!) for the web site.

Stay safe and see you on the radio.

Bill,  thanks for giving us the info we need for FD.  One correction, I think..  The ARRL website described CMRA without the period after "Assn".
I think you put in a period to end the sentence, not to signify an abbreviation.  But the EXACT  write-in for ARRL  has to be without the period after "Assn"

If ARRL's humans check and enter the summary sheets, they might (or might not) accept the period; but a machine checker probably will not.
